Our History
Our recipe has been used by our family for generations. It was first created when our family was working in the sugar cane fields and has been passed down each generation since. The family used to make the rum to enjoy after long days working in the fields to relax and find the beauty in life. In the early 1920s, my family members were laborers in the sugar cane fields and realized that they could ferment the sugar cane to create a gorgeous beverage.


Our founder
Dierick Rodriguez, the owner and founder of La Distileria. He moved to the United States from Puerto Rico in 2000. He had a big dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Without knowing any English or anyone, Dierick made his way in the world. He started La Distileria during COVID-19 after finding a piece of paper that had the family recipe on it. He did research and learned all about his family and how to make the rum so that he could share it with his friends and family. This sparked the dream of creating his own distillery and his very own brand of rum.
Our product
Triple distilled in a one-pot copper still, our product is handmade and hand-crafted by our owner: every flavor, every bottle, every batch. Made with pure cane sugar, we keep our ingredients all-natural and simply made.
With the plan of opening up our distillery to many more flavors of rum and different spirits, but for now, we have:
1) White Rum

3) Cinnamon Rum
4) Single-Barrel Aged Rum
